A Day of Glass is a Window into Our Day

Corning recently published their vision of the near future featuring dynamic glass displays and information that travels with us wherever we go (video available at http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=6Cf7IL_eZ38&vq=medium ).  It follows the day in the life of a couple waking up in the morning, moving around the city and going to work greeted by glass display panels wherever they go.  Highlights were a mobile display glass that transfers its content to any surface it rests upon, panels that recognize the person looking at them, and the same content traveling with the person to provide a seamless experience from the day's start to finish. 

The key point to realize is that each of these glass surfaces is a two way window, with the consumer looking out and the provider looking in.  At every point in that day, not only profile information but statistics data is available across locations.  Which advertisements do out of state tourists or travelers pay attention to before browsing a store?  How about residents?  Axeda Platform equips connected products to gather this information, adding value to Corning's investment and ultimately to the consumer experience.
