Exploring the Sample Application

In this section you will explore a sample Rich Internet Application (RIA) that has been built on the Axeda Platform.  We’ve designed a simple application to demonstrate the power of combining dynamic M2M data from the Axeda Platform with a front-end presentation layer. In the next sections, you will be using an asset simulator to collect data and then interact with the platform itself, to process it.

Step-1: Launch the Sample Application (Register to enable the link for the Sample Application)

As the sample application starts up, you will see three panels in your browser window similar to those shown in the image below.

This sample application includes:
 
  • A map showing the location of your asset (we have located this “Asset1” based on the zip/postal code that you supplied as part of the registration process),
  • A data-chart showing a series of data points that have been previously logged to the Platform, and
  • An alarm panel. The alarm panel is currently blank. You will be populating it with alarm information as part of this exercise.
