The Axeda Platform SDK provides the ability to extend Axeda Platform for use with your Platform-based applications. This guide contains the following chapters and appendices:

- Chapter 2: "Overview", presents the contents of the Axeda Platform SDK and explains how to use it with your applications.
- Chapter 3: "Getting Started", explains what is contained in the SDK, and the system and environment requirements using the API. Instructions are provided for installing the SDK and configuring the development and runtime environments.
- Chapter 4: "Concepts for Axeda Platform API", includes some important concepts to consider and understand when developing against the Axeda Platform API.
- Chapter 5: "Using Axeda Platform API", explains how to use Axeda Platform API to extend and customize Axeda Platform for your needs. The procedures and steps to creating you applications provided in this chapter are intended to address the needs of a large number of development tasks; your API development tasks may vary.
- Chapter 6: "API Reference", provides a high-level reference to the Axeda Platform API. Each Java package included in the SDK, as well as an introduction to its functionality and contents, s presented in this chapter.
- Chapter 7: "Samples from Axeda Platform SDK", provides examples that illustrate some common operations you can perform through the Axeda Platform API.
