  • Send notifications from an Expression Rule with a simple rule action
  • Take advantage of an Integration Queue for connecting to business systems

  • Use a new Secure Messaging Protocol, ASMP (it's like SSL for wireless)
  • Create and manage Asset Groups
  • Create Dynamic Asset Groups to make grouping automatic

We've updated the product documentation on the site and also posted walkthrough videos for members to review on demand.  There are three videos now available:

Axeda Platform Features Update, Part 1/3: The Integration Queue and the Expression Rule Debugger (9 min)
The integration queue is the tool used for integration with external systems.  Now, as data passes through the Axeda Platform we can move it to the queue and support integration with other enterprise applications.  We've also enabled a new expression rules debugger that provides advanced troubleshooting and debug capability for expression rules.

Axeda Platform Features Update, Part 2/3: Advanced Configuration and Administration Features (13 min)
Features described in this segment include advanced configuration and administration options we've enabled around creating and managing models, assets, and user populations as well as the ability to call Scripto services via HTTP GET. Also discussed in this segment is an update to the REST service to supports a conditional means of authentication HTTP basic Authentication.  This session also includes an overview of Scripto enhancements that allow users to access Scripto through GET to make Scripto calls directly from a web browser - something useful not only for testing, but also for integrations that only support GET calling into the method.

Axeda Platform Features Update, Part 3/3: Configurable Actions and Notifications (8 min)
User can now use actions and notifications from our rules engine.  There are different kinds of actions that can be created and all can be called from expression rules by name.  Different actions include the ability to set a data item, upload and download files, send a notification or create an event. The most basic example of this is to use an expression rule to trigger an Email notification.  Axeda's context sensitive help has been updated with complete templates that will speed your use of this new capability.
