Changing the Look and Feel of Your Asset's Dashboard

In the following Tutorial, you will learn how to customize the appearance of the Asset Dashboard.

You will learn how to upload an image to associate with assets of that model type, and select which
tasks, data items, charts, and displays to show for this model.
 
When you click on Platform Access you are redirected to the Service Dashboard page. You select your asset and go to the Asset Dashboard with all the data relevant to that asset.
This page is formatted into modules and these modules and other components are customizable.
Using this functionality will allow you to remove unused modules and align the modules you care about to easily see the dat ayou need.
 
Lets Begin to transform from the below image to the next image. 

 

How do I get there?

 

  1. Click on the Configuration tab
  2. On the View menu select Models
  3. In the View and manage models page, locate the model for ehich you want to customize
  4. Click on the Preferences link 

 

   

 

How to upload an image for this model

1.    In the Model Information box, click Upload model image.
2.    In the pop-up dialog box, click Browse to locate the image file. Remember that it must be a GIF or JPEG file. Alternatively, you can type the path to the
       image file.
3.    In the Choose file dialog box, navigate to the directory for the file and then double-click its name.
4.    Back in the pop-up dialog box, click Submit.
 
When the UI Preferences page returns, the image appears in the Model Information box. The image will also appear in the Asset dashboard for all assets of this model.

    

 
Customize the dashboard for this model

1.    Click Asset Dashboard Layout or the icon to the left of that link.
2.    Use this page to select which modules to show in the Asset dashboard.   

 

Customize the Tasks module 

1.    Click Tasks or the icon to the left of that link.
2.    Use the Tasks page to select which tasks to show in the Tasks module for this model.  

 

Customize the Data Items module

1.    Click Data Items or the icon to the left of that link.
2.    Use the Select Data Items for model page to select which data items to show in the Data module for this model.  

 

Customize the Charts module

1.    Click Charts or the icon to the left of that link.
2.    Use the Select Charts for model page to select which charts to show in the Charts module for this model.  

Customize the Display module 

1. Click Displays or the icon to the left of that link.
2. Use the Select Displays for model page to select which displays to show in the Displays module for this model.
