Step 1: Purchase an mbed NXP LPC1768 Prototyping Board Kit

The NXP LPC1768 Prototyping Board Kit Consists of two components:

  • mbed NXP LPC1768 Development Board
  • mbed Application Board

Plug the NPX LPC1768 Development Board into the Application Board being careful to align the white markings GND and VOUT.

Connect the NXP LPC1768 Development Board Using a PC using a USB mini cable.

Note: There are two possible ports where a USB mini cable can be connected.  Use the USB connection on the smaller
development board
- not the one on the larger application board.

Assembled mbed Development Kit

  • NXP LPC1768 Development Board + Application Board

The mbed board should appear on your computer as a removable drive.

Go to the new USB Drive, and click MBED.HTM to open it in a new web browser.

Operating Systems Screen - mbed

Choose "Signup" and create your mbed account.
